Brother P-Touch PT-18R Rechargeable Labeling System Review

I'm replacing my battery-gobbling P-Touch PT-80 with this rechargeable labeler.
Very pleased with my purchase. Very easy to set up and I love that it will hold a charge for a very long time and doesn't HAVE to reside in the charging base.
I use my unit primarily in the kitchen and home office and mine had to be a compact size suitable to store in a kitchen drawer, placing it in the charger only when necessary. This is a very good size although not as small as the previous PT-80 but I was willing to pay the extra money and add the additional bulk to get away from the unit that sucked up batteries after nearly every label.
It should be noted, however, that the rechargeable model is significantly heavier than the old unit, weighing in at nearly 1-1/2 pounds.
